last和continue之间的区别
continue指“持续而无终止”， 通常强调“不间断”，
如：continue one's work 继续工作。
last指“持久”、“延续”， 如：The rain will not last long. 这雨不会持续很久。
last用作动词、当“持续、延续”解时，也可用for+时间段作时间状语，其中，介词for可省略，而continue 不能省略 “for”
如:
The war lasted (for) five years. 战争持续了五年。
In my class, there are 45 students, and our English lessons last for 50 minutes.
The trial is expected to continue for three months. 预计审判要持续三个月。
区别就是两者意思都可以表示持续，但last为不及物性动词而continue可为及物动词，其他具体的不同如下
last中文意思是v. 持续；持久；维持，够用；坚持，支撑下去
continue中文意思是v. （使）继续，（使）延续；继续说，接着说；移动，延伸；留任，维持原状
